Late afternoon sun in an olive orchard

Today's second painting was loads of fun. The weather was perfect. After the intense heat of the mid-day, it cooled off pleasantly with a gentle breeze wafting through the olive trees, bringing smells of sun-soaked grass and wildflowers. The buzz of of cicadas and humming bees provided background music. The sun slanted down into and through the olive trees providing beautiful subject matter. I didn't want to leave, so I decided to start this second painting even though it was late in the day. I took off my shirt and the late afternoon sun warmed my bare chest as I painted. I was way off down a dirt road with not a care in the world and place all to my self. If I had to pick the best moment of the trip so far, I'd have to say it was in that couple of hours, this perfect summer day in the Italian olive grove.

I am less fond of this one as the others you have done recently.
